TALKING ABOUT PETS

 

Conversation

Teacher: Good morning, class! Today, we are going to talk about pets.
Amina: Teacher, what is a pet?
Teacher: A pet is an animal that lives with people. We keep pets because we love them.
Ali: I have a dog. His name is Max.
Teacher: Very good, Ali! What does your dog like?
Ali: He likes to play and run in the garden.
Sara: I have a cat. Her name is Luna.
Teacher: Nice! What does she like to do?
Sara: She likes to sleep and eat fish.
Teacher: Wonderful! Who else has a pet?
Omar: I have a parrot. It can talk!
Teacher: Wow, that’s amazing! You all have lovely pets.

 

Story: Amina’s Little Cat

Amina has a small cat named Mimi. Mimi has white fur and green eyes.
Every morning, Mimi waits near the door. When Amina wakes up, she says,
“Good morning, Mimi!” and gives her some milk.

Mimi likes to play with a ball and sleep on the sofa.
Sometimes, she climbs on the table and looks outside the window.
Amina loves her pet because Mimi is friendly and cute.
