EXPRESSING BASIC FEELINGS (HAPPY, SAD, TIRED)

 

Conversation

Teacher: Good morning, Amina! How are you today?
Amina: Good morning, teacher! I’m happy today.
Teacher: That’s great! Why are you happy?
Amina: Because it’s my birthday!
Teacher: Wonderful! What about you, Ali?
Ali: I’m a little tired today.
Teacher: Oh, why are you tired?
Ali: I didn’t sleep well last night.
Teacher: I see. And you, Sara?
Sara: I’m sad because my cat is sick.
Teacher: Oh no! I hope your cat feels better soon.

 

Story: “A Busy Day for Amina”

Amina wakes up early in the morning. She feels tired because she studied late last night.
After breakfast, she goes to school. Her friends smile and say, “Happy birthday, Amina!” Now Amina feels very happy.
In the afternoon, she helps her mother at home. When evening comes, she feels tired again but still happy because she had a nice day.
