TALKING ABOUT THE WEATHER

Conversation

Teacher: Good morning, class! How is the weather today?
Amina: Good morning, teacher! The weather is sunny and warm today.
Ali: Yes, it’s a nice day! I like sunny days.
Teacher: That’s great! What about you, Sara?
Sara: I think it’s too hot. I like cool weather.
Teacher: Interesting! What’s the weather like in your city, Omar?
Omar: It’s cloudy and a little windy.
Teacher: Very good! Now we can describe the weather in many ways—sunny, cloudy, windy, hot, or cool.

Story: A Rainy Morning

It is Saturday morning. Amina looks out the window and sees dark clouds.
Soon, it starts to rain. She takes her umbrella and walks to the shop.
The road is wet, and the air feels cold.

When she reaches the shop, the rain stops.
Now the sky looks clear and bright. A rainbow appears!
Amina smiles and says, “I like the weather after rain. It feels fresh and beautiful!”
