SAYING SIMPLE OPINIONS (“I LIKE / I DON’T LIKE”)

Conversation

Ali: Hello, Fatima! What foods do you like?
Fatima: I like ice cream and pizza!
Ali: Me too! I don’t like spicy food.
Fatima: Really? I like spicy food, but I don’t like coffee.
Ali: Oh, I love coffee!

 

Story: “At the School Picnic”

Today is a school picnic. Amina and Hassan bring their lunch.
Amina likes bananas, sandwiches, and juice.
Hassan doesn’t like bananas, but he likes apples.
They sit under a tree and share their food.
Hassan says, “I don’t like bananas, but I like you as my friend!”
Amina laughs and says, “That’s sweet!”
